Spring town wide Yard sales will be in May. Also, the village will provide a dumpster for everyone in the Village that would like to use it again this year. Stay tuned for the exact date but plans are for May after town wide yard sales.
Welcome and thank you for visiting the Village of Iola’s website. Iola is located in northwestern Clay County. Louisville, the county seat, is 9 miles to the southwest. The population was 141 residing in the Village at the 2010 census, In 1870 the railroad passed by Larkinsburg about one mile to the east. The village of Larkinsburg was soon forgotten and a new village named Iola was established.

Those who have visited Iola in prior years as a child have remarkable stories and fond memories. Many of those were from the Old Settlers Picnic that was held every year in August from 1878 until 2016.
